Ramsko jezero is an artificial reservoir in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, created in the 1960s by damming the Rama River for a hydroelectric project.
It is known for its striking turquoise water, island-dotted landscape, and dramatic mountain surroundings in the Dinaric Alps. The lake flooded a former valley, including several villages, which were relocated during its creation.
Today, it is a popular destination for nature lovers, offering peaceful scenery, boating, fishing, hiking viewpoints, and a quiet alternative to more crowded European lakes.
