Tvrđava Ostrožac / Castle Ostrožac

Ostrožac Castle (Ostrožac Tvrdzava) is a striking historic fortress located near Cazin in northwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina, overlooking the Una River valley. Perched dramatically on a rocky cliff, the castle offers panoramic views of the surrounding forested landscape and river canyon below.

Originally built in the medieval period and later expanded during the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian eras, Ostrožac reflects a unique blend of architectural styles that tell the story of the region’s complex history.
